Can you fake someones ip in the internet not throw a proxy or using a torjan horse?

And if you you can is it one sided or two sided if the server was not intented for fake iping?

Example:

Can you connect to and email server with a fake ip and recive your email?

simply put, you can´t.
but a big unless is coming:

unless you have a way to put your hands on the packets which are sent back from your request…

and i guess you can´t.

so just forget it.

if you want to spoof ips, you can do it from udp packets
but for tcp you have no choices
