computer systems operator involves taking care of large networks, firewalls, un*x servers (mostly Linux, Solaris, etc).

its pretty fun, you get to build servers from scratch, and maintain a system that has to run 24/7/365…

it does not involve programming (of any kind), maybe some Perl.
